Your Penis Will Fit Any Condom, But Is Every Condom Right?

 Feel free to disagree ….

Typically, when I am doing a condom demonstration or when I’m discussing condoms as a form of birth control, invariably there will always be one or two males that relate that they are “too big” to use condoms and that is the reason why they abstain from using condoms – along with a slew of other excuses including loss of sensation, they don’t work, sex is not as good, and more.

It is at this point in my condom demonstrations that I take a regular, run-of-the-mill condom and proceed to stretch it over the entirety of my hand and down all the way to my elbow. While I have it on, I fan my fingers as far as they will go to truly show how flexible the latex material is. I end my amazing magic trick by explaining that many men purchase the Trojan Deluxe Magnum XXXL industrial sized condoms when they don’t actually need to; if the condom is too big it will increase the chance of the it falling off during sex. Also, Jim Daniels, the Vice President of Marketing for Trojan Condoms, related in an interview with the New York Times,  that Magnums are basically the same size as a regular condom, just wider in the middle.

Most erect penises average anywhere from 4 to 7 inches – with 5 being the mean. Keep in mind, this is an average range which means that some men are a little smaller while others are a little bigger. Does that mean that every condom is comfortable for every guy? Certainly not; sometimes men might require a condom that is a little wider in girth – if a regular condom is too constricting – or perhaps they might need a snugger fit if a regular sized condom is a little too big. You want to make sure that the condom is not so constricting that it could rupture during sex but secure enough so that it doesn’t fall off. A neat little trick to help keep the condom on is if you – or your partner –  use a cock ring to keep the condom secure at the base of the shaft of the penis – just make sure that you don’t keep the cock ring on longer than twenty minutes. It is important to find a condom that feels comfortable for you and your partner. Check out websites such as Condom Depot – that has a great selection based on sized – or Global Protection.
